Subject: Florence by Mills - Qualified for AMDP Investment?
Date: October 24th, 2025
Company Focus - Florence by mills
Upon my research, I came across a company that is not only a worthy investment, but also meets AMDP’s company standards. AMDP values people and companies that evaluate their impact on the world we live in. Whether it is an environmental or social impact, AMDP strives to ensure that the companies they work with are paying attention to how they can make a positive impact, and avoiding making a negative impact.
Given this company’s values and expected success in the coming months, I would strongly suggest that AMDP invest in the beauty company Florence by mills. This is a makeup, skincare, and all things beauty company that is founded by actress and celebrity, Millie Bobbie Brown. Florence is a cruelty free and vegan company that places emphasis on ethical business and self expression.
Throughout this proposal I will discuss the following:
AMDP Standards Review
Company Background & Morals
Founder Background
Projected Success
Reason for Investment Recommendation
AMDP Standards Review
Triple Bottom Line: TBL means placing focus on the world around us and the people around us as a business rather than just profitability and direct impact.
Corporate Social Responsibility: CSR means placing focus on the environmental and social impact of a business and striving to work in the best interest of those focuses in hopes to also create some kind of positive impact.
Social Enterprise: This structure of doing business focuses on revenue and solving social or environmental issues simultaneously through the sale of their product or service.
Carbon Footprint:
Definition: Carbon footprint can be defined as an environmental impact in greenhouse gas emissions caused by an individual, business, product, or entity.
How do you measure: Carbon footprint can be measured in three different scopes (direct, indirect from energy, and other indirect emissions).
Why does it matter: Carbon footprint matters for a business as it impacts reputation, costs, and climate. Reducing carbon footprint can help the environment while reducing expenses.
Florence by Mills Company Background & Morals
Florence was founded in 2019 by British actress and producer, Millie Bobby Brown and has been operating ever since. Florence by Mills is a vegan beauty company that carries everything from skincare, to makeup, to fashion. The company describes themselves as being “made for gen z, by gen z” and targets this buyer demographic. They also describe themselves as being about empowerment, enhancing natural beauty, and being yourself. Florence strives to use ingredients that are clean, meaning none of their products use materials that are harmful to people, animals, or the environment. Florence strives to care for the planet and places great emphasis on this on their website, and this has proven to remain true throughout the years.
Founder Background
Millie Bobby Brown is the founder, but she also goes by Mills hence the company name. As an actress that started at a very young age Millie has extensive experience not only wearing skin care and beauty products but also experimenting with different products herself. Her biggest motivator is to spread love and embrace self-expression. Millie carries great love for those around her, and even named the company after her great - grandmother, Florence. Millie Bobby Brown also married the son of Jon Bon Jovi, Jake Bongiovi and adopted a child with him. Her biggest success in her career thus far has been the TV series “Stranger Things” which is set to air its fifth and final season this fall through winter.
Projected Success
So why is Stranger Things relevant to a beauty company? Millie Bobby Brown plays the lead character in this show that has now turned into a massive franchise pulling in boatloads of money and viewership. This show has also sparked her large fanbase of followers and supporters. This show takes a great deal of time to make in between seasons, and this finale is projected to be a huge success. Given that this massively viewed show is in its finale and airing soon, it is safe to say from a psychological standpoint that her viewers and followers will be more present and paying attention to Millie during the end of this year. This in turn is a great opportunity for Florence by Mills to boost its traction and sales as its founder is anticipating a rise in popularity through the upcoming season. Given that Florence is a private company, financial records are difficult to access, but the company has only grown its inventory starting with just skin care to now having makeup and clothing, demonstrating the company’s consistent growth over time in its capability to expand.
Reason for Investment Recommendation
Therefore, now is the perfect timing for AMDP to invest in Florence by Mills not only because it maintains the values of what AMDP is looking for, but also because it is very clear that the frontman will be experiencing a rise in popularity. With a rise in popularity comes a rise in social media as well as fan support for their favorite celebrities. During the time of the season air, it is safe to say that sales for Florence by Mills will be up, and AMDP will then be in a great position to benefit from an investment with this company.
